Sebastian Vollmer Surprisingly Inactive Sunday Against Cowboys, Nate Solder to Start at Right Tackle

FOXBORO, Mass. — Tackle Sebastian Vollmer will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a back injury, but his absence this week is a little more surprising because he has practiced each day.

Nate Solder will start at right tackle Sunday against the Cowboys for Vollmer, who has missed five of six games this season.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (ankle), cornerback Ras-I Dowling (thigh), safety Josh Barrett (hamstring, thumb), safety Sergio Brown (chest), linebacker Jerod Mayo (knee) and quarterback Ryan Mallett (not on injury report) are also inactive Sunday.

Running back Danny Woodhead (ankle) will return Sunday after missing last week's game against the Jets. Running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis (toe) is also active after missing Thursday's practice.

Cornerback Sterling Moore will make his Patriots debut after being promoted from the practice squad Saturday.

Barrett, Edelman and Mayo are out for the second week in a row. This is the first game Brown has missed this season. Dowling, who was active last week but did not play, is inactive for the third time this season. Mallett is inactive for the fifth time in six games.
