Sidney Crosby is back.

Kind of.

The Pittsburgh Penguins center has been cleared for contact by his team of doctors, as Sid the Kid was spotted skating in a team practice wearing a black helmet.

Normally, Crosby's choice of headgear is not news, but the black helmet is a departure from the white one that Crosby had been wearing, which indicated that he was a non-contact participant in practice.

While no date has been set for Crosby's return to actual games, the speculation will begin now that he's taken the next step in his recovery from post-concussion symptoms.
