Maybe this week wasn't the right week for Tony Romo to do his best Joe Namath impression and guarantee a Super Bowl for the Cowboys, as they're hosting Tom Brady and friends.
But while the Dallas quarterback didn't say the Super Bowl would come this season, Romo assured fans that it is in the future plans, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
"This team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point. It's going to be exciting when that time comes," Romo said. "And when we look back, we'll know who was on what side of the fence during those tough moments. That's exciting for us as competitors, knowing that we get a chance to go out there and have a chance to win."
To his credit, this season alone, Romo has had to deal with cracked ribs, a punctured lung and his center Phil Costa firing errant snaps while leading his team to a 2-2 record. All things considered, you have to at least admire his confidence.
