Ndamukong Suh Suspended Two Games by NFL For Stomping Incident on Thanksgiving

Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh‘s name, literally translated, means “house of spears.” In two years in the league, though, his name has become synonymous with dirty hits.

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports via Twitter, the league has suspended Suh two games for an incident involving him and Packers offensive linemen Evan Dietrich-Smith on Thanksgiving.

The tweet reads, “Lions have been informed by league office that Ndamukong Suh has been suspended by Commissioner 2 games without pay.”

This may not be the end of the incident, however. According to Pro Football Talk, Suh has three days to appeal the suspension, and then a hearing must be held within 10 days of that appeal. If Suh elects to go through that process, he could be available for Detroit’s contest with the 8-3 New Orleans Saints on Sunday night.
