Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce Create Fun Atmosphere at Charity Basketball Game Held at Harvard (Photos)There’s been a number of charity games during the NBA lockout, and Boston was home to one that featured a number of league notables on Saturday.

Rajon Rondo hosted the event, which took place at Harvard University’s Lavietes Pavilion. He headlined the Green Team, which also featured former Celtics center Kendrick Perkins, Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith and the Memphis Grizzlies’ Rudy Gay.

C’s captain Paul Pierce headlined the White Team, which included old friends Leon Powe and Marquis Daniels, as well as Nate Robinson, Jeff Green and Kyle Lowry.

The game featured very little defense, as it was similar to an All-Star Game in nature, but some alley-oops and crazy 3-pointers delighted the crowd. The best part for the 2,000 or so fans in attendance, though, was the idea of seeing NBA players take to the hardwood once again.
