Stephon Marbury Bashes Michael Jordan on Twitter, Calls Him a ‘Sellout’

Rule No. 1 for NBA owners about the lockout: Don't tweet about the NBA lockout.

When Miami Heat owner Micky Arison told a Twitter follower that they were "barking at the wrong owner," the league slammed him with a $500,000 fine. However, various players have been tweeting about the lockout, avoiding fines, but not avoiding scrutiny from the media and fans.

The latest tweet receiving attention came from Stephon Marbury, who is currently playing basketball in China. Marbury took aim at Bobcats' owner (and six-time NBA champion) Michael Jordan for his role in the talks.

"Michael Fake Jordan is a sell out. #Period. He forgot which hole he came out of. I sait it 'Stephon X Marbury.'"

Jordan is reportedly leading the charge of NBA owners who are unhappy with a 50/50 basketball-related revenue split, and is proposing a 53/47 split in favor of the owners.

"MJ went from MJ the black cat to a guy who forgot he was a player. Sell your team if you can't make a profit," Marbury tweeted. "Your just a regular dude now!"
