Vote: Was Milan Lucic’s Hit on Ryan Miller a Suspendable Act?

Milan Lucic found out on Monday that he would not be forced to miss any games this week as a result of his hit on Sabres goalie Ryan Miller on Saturday night.

That hasn't kept others from saying that the Bruins winger should sit a game or two out.

The Vancouver Cancucks were among those who didn't understand why Brendan Shanahan didn't come down harder on Lucic for the collision with Miller that left the world-class goalie with a concussion.

Those who felt that Lucic should have been suspended said that in doing so, the league would send a message that you cannot take a run at the goalie. It's debatable whether or not Lucic "ran" Milller, but suspending him for a game or two certainly would have made it abundantly clear.

There are also plenty who feel that the league should do everything that it can to ensure the safety of the goalies, as they aren't as able to defend themselves as skaters.

Nonetheless, the most important opinion in this is that of Shanahan's, and he says that Lucic will continue to play.

However, was the forward's hit a suspendable act?
