He may be the NFL’s dirtiest player on the gridiron, but Ndamukong Suh is just a big fluffy teddy bear off the field.
OK maybe not.
But he was ranked No. 6 overall in charitable giving among celebrities in 2011, making him the most charitable athlete of the year, according to The Giving Back Fund. The GBF is a nonprofit organization that provides “philanthropic management and consulting to the sports and entertainment industries.”
According to the report, Suh donated $2 million to the Nebraska University athletic department and another $600,000 to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering to endow a scholarship.
Also on the list was Lance Berkman (No. 7), Jerry Seinfeld (No. 11) and Gisele Bundchen (No. 14). Tom Brady’s wife donated $1.5 million to the Red Cross for Haiti Relief. Big Apple athletes Mariano Rivera, Eli Manning and Carmelo Anthony also cracked the Top 30.
“Two ice creams, please… and $1.5 million for Haiti.”
“Just walking through supermarket. See a mom breast feeding little kid. Took second look because I was obviously seeing things. I wasn’t … I don’t feel like shopping anymore or eating.”
— NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne, who caused some controversy with breastfeeding tweets
Well, duh.
Darth Quaider strikes again. As does Jack Edwards.
