University of Nevada Freshman Brought to Tears After Winning $100,000 During SEC Championship Game (Video)

Ivon Padilla-Rodriguez, a freshman at the University of Nevada-Reno, won $100,000 to go toward her college tuition from Dr. Pepper on Saturday during halftime of the SEC Championship game between LSU and Georgia.

By throwing 13 footballs through a giant Dr. Pepper can five yards away, she was declared the winner. In preparation for the contest, Padilla-Rodriguez enlisted the help of classmate and University of Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo.

Padilla-Rodriguez submitted a video and was chosen from thousands of applicants to compete for the prize. After the competition, Dr. Pepper president Jim Johnston presented her with a check for $100,000.
