Joe Flacco Ratted Out by Neighbor for Skateboarding Before Divisional Game Against Houston

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has made the playoffs in each of his four years in the NFL. And each year, he has led his team to nothing but early exit after early exit.

This year, Flacco decided he would mix it up a bit and try riding a skateboard for the first time in his life. In an interview with NFL Total Access, Flacco recounts the story and how he got busted for being a daredevil.

"I'd never been on a skateboard in my life, so I was literally riding it about 10 feet down my driveway just to see if I could stand on it and stay upright," Flacco said in the interview. "One of my neighbors must have called in looking for [Ravens general manager] Ozzie Newsome and left a voicemail on his secretary's phone saying, 'Hey, man, you got to let Joe Flacco know we're trying to win the Super Bowl around here! He's at home riding a skateboard. Somebody's got to let him know what the deal is.'"

It would be very easy to take the high road here and say Flacco is an adult who can decide for himself what qualifies as responsible behavior. But Flacco is an NFL quarterback trying to lead his team to the Super Bowl after three consecutive years of disappointment.

After taking criticism from the press and his own teammates about his average abilities, Flacco might be better off spending his free time in the film room or on the field instead of risking a broken wrist in his driveway.
