The New England Patriots announced that there will be an increase in ticket prices for the 2012 season, but only fans in certain areas will know the difference.

Eighty-four percent of seats in Gillette Stadium will stay at the same price. The only exceptions are seats located in the upper and lower levels of midfield.

Upper level midfield seats will be priced at $99, up $10 from this season, and lower level midfield seats will now be priced at $185, up $16 dollars from this season.

The price hike is the first since 2008 and only the third since Gillette Stadium opened in 2002.

Here's a quick look at what ticket prices will be for the 2012 season.

Upper Level Corner (Rows 8-26) — $65
Upper Level Sideline — $89
Upper Level Midfield — $99
Lower and Mezzanine Level Corner/End Zone — $117
Lower Level Sideline — $169
Lower Level Midfield — $185
