Report: Mark Davis Believes Raiders Could Move Back to Los Angeles

New Raiders owner Mark Davis has some new ideas about how to run the team after taking over from his father, Al Davis. Chief among them? Possibly moving the team back to Los Angeles.

"Yeah, Los Angeles is a possibility," the new Raiders owner said Wednesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "Wherever's a possibility. We need a stadium."

The Raiders have apparently discussed sharing a new stadium with fellow Bay Area team San Francisco, but their priority is remaining in Oakland and building a new stadium on their current spot. However, the allure of a stadium rumored for downtown L.A. may be the more attractive option with time as a factor.

"The timetable is yesterday," said Davis. "So that's where it is. We've got to get a stadium. We've got to get that done."

The Raiders played in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1994, where they made five playoff appearances including two division titles.
