Tim Thomas Voted In as Starting Goalie for NHL All-Star Game
The Bruins' netminder was the top vote-getter for this year's NHL All-Star Game among goalies, receiving 626,540 votes, and he'll start this year's contest in Ottawa.
Thomas received 128,465 more votes than second-place finisher James Reimer, 201,921 more votes than third-place goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, and 375,145 more votes than fourth-place netminder Carey Price.
Roberto Luongo finished 10th with 166,391 votes.
It will be Thomas' fourth consecutive appearance at the All-Star Game, which will be played Jan. 29, but his first-ever start.
Thomas currently owns a 1.90 goals-against average and .940 save percentage, and he has a perfect 1.000 save percentage in eight shootout attempts.
