Mark this down as another thing that makes rugby awesome. Martin Pratt, a fan, ran out on the pitch during a game in New Zealand between Samoa and New Zealand and tackled a Samoan player. Afterwards, he admitted that he had drank 24 beers beforehand and did it because his friends dared him to.

“I was pretty drunk,” the 19-year-old poultry farmer admitted. “I didn’t expect to tackle the guy but he had the ball.”

Pratt is being charged with assault and says he expects to plead guilty when he appears in court later this month. He also said that he wanted to apologize to the player he tackled, Alatasi Tupou, and to anyone who saw his actions.

Check out video of the incident below, with a hat tip to Deadspin for finding this one.
