Egyptian Premier League Suspends Games Indefinitely Following Soccer ‘War’

On Wednesday, a match between al-Masry and al-Ahly in Port Said, Egpyt, turned into a battle. According to Al Jazeera, the Egyptian Football Association has suspended all games indefinitely following the deaths.

At least 74 people were killed, and hundreds more were injured, according to reports from multiple news outlets.

Al-Ahly, which lost 3-1 as the away team, was second in the Egyptian Premier League standings. Al-Masry was fourth, but the victory has been overshadowed by the event that occured immediately after the game.
