Report: Rob Gronkowski Undergoes Successful Surgery for Injured Left Ankle

The saga revolving around Rob Gronkowski‘s high ankle sprain is heading to its end. The Patriots tight end reportedly underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle, according to ESPN.

Gronkowski had injured his ankle in the AFC Championship, but the Patriots tight end toughed it out and was able to play in Super Bowl two weeks later. Problem was, “Gronk” wasn’t very effective, as he only caught two passes for 26 yards.

However, Gronkowski’s status for next season shouldn’t be in question. The expected recovery time for the injury is 10 weeks, meaning that while Gronkowski could be in jeopardy of missing the team’s OTAs in April, he should be fully healed by training camp.
