Tyngsborough High School’s Tyler Coene Receives MIAA/NESN Student-Athlete of the Month Award for January

Tyler Coene, a senior at Tyngsborough High School, won the MIAA/NESN Student-Athlete of the Month Award for January.

Coene is a member of the Tyngsborough soccer, basketball and outdoor track teams. While serving as the captain of this past year's soccer team, he was named a Midland-Wachusett League All-Star with seven goals and six assists. He led his team to the MIAA Boys Soccer Division 2 Central Massachusetts Tournament Semi-Finals with a 15-4-1 record.

He is ranked fourth in his class with a 3.869 grade point average. He also has been in the National Honor Society for two years.

Coene is heavily involved with his community. He coaches younger soccer players in the Tyngsborough Youth Soccer Camp and also serves dinners to people in need at his local shelter. He's also worked with an annual Halloween party by handing out candy and working directly with students at a local special education school.
