Bruins Continue to Struggle in ‘Big Games’ This Season, Need to Elevate Play Against Tough Opponents (Video)

Over the course of a season, championship teams can typically point to certain games as statement wins. And while the Bruins remain a Stanley Cup contender, they've been unable to elevate their game when it's mattered most this season.

The B's have lost all three games they've played against the Eastern Conference-leading Rangers, and fell to the Vancouver Canucks when they played them in Boston on Jan. 7. NESN's Jack Edwards described each of those games as "big games," and thinks the B's really need to step up against tougher opponents down the stretch.

The Bruins put forth a solid effort for the most part on Sunday against the Rangers, but it still wasn't enough. Their next chance to gain some traction will be on Tuesday night in Toronto.
