Chad Ochocinco Sounds Receptive to Restructuring Contract to Remain With PatriotsIt appears Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is open to restructuring his contract.

Ochocinco tweeted Wednesday, "Restructuring is fine, the fun part is finding ways to make it back up during the offseason."

On Thursday, Ochocinco was asked on Twitter about his goals for the offseason. His reply might be completely unrelated to restructuring his contract, but part of his response said to "make 3 million off the field."

Earlier in the week, the Patriots asked Ochocinco to restructure his contract. He's got two years remaining on his deal with New England, and he's due to make a base salary of $3 million in each of those seasons.

If Ochocinco didn't restructure his deal, the obvious thinking is the Patriots would respond by releasing him. By agreeing to the pay cut, Ochocinco would have the opportunity to work with quarterback Tom Brady throughout the offseason and get a chance to make the team in 2012.
