Dwight Howard’s Flip-Flopping Ways Make Figuring Out Center’s NBA Future Extremely Difficult

Will he stay or will he go?

That was the burning question throughout the Sunshine State for months. If you walked into an establishment in the state of Florida and asked that, people would immediately know that you're referring to Orlando Magic star center Dwight Howard.

Howard ended up waiving the early termination option on his contract prior to the March 15 trade deadline, meaning that the Magic could keep Howard without the possibility of losing him to free agency in the offseason. The key word used by Howard throughout the process was "loyalty."

We'll see how strong that loyalty is come this offseason, though — both on Howard's end and in terms of the Magic's loyalty to their star. Howard is set to be under contract with Orlando to start the 2012-13 season, but the Magic could still elect to trade him away at some point.

In other words, expect "Will he stay or will he go?" to still be at the forefront of every sports-related discussion in Orlando for the foreseeable future. And, expect Howard's own personal dilemma to continue.
