Report: Duke Guard Austin Rivers to Enter NBA Draft, Will Sign With Agent (Video)

By this time next season, Duke freshman Austin Rivers will be in the same league as his father, Celtics coach Doc Rivers.

The 6-foot-3 guard will enter the 2012 NBA draft and sign with an agent, CBS Sports reported Friday.

Rivers earned ACC Rookie of the Year honors after leading Duke to a second-place finish in the Atlantic Coast Conference, averaging 15.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game along the way. He also hit a game-winning, buzzer-beating 3-pointer at then-No. 5 UNC on Feb. 8.

Duke earned the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament's South region after going 27-6 (13-3 in the ACC), but was knocked out in the second round by 15th-seeded Lehigh. Rivers finished with 19 points on 5-of-14 shooting in the loss.
