The Bruins have had an up-and-down season, but they've proven they can play with anybody, and they could be hitting their stride at exactly the right time.
The only problem is that the New York Rangers, who enter the postseason as the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed, are standing in the way. And if the two teams eventually meet up in the Eastern Conference finals, the B's will face a tough task, as they dropped three of the four contests they had with the Rangers this season.
There's still plenty of reasons to be optimistic in Boston, and the Bruins have to be sure not to overlook the Washington Capitals. However, knowing what's potentially waiting in the wings is a bit concerning.
