However, three straight losses have damped the Sox' momentum, and have shown that the team still has a lot of questions that need to be addressed.
NESN.com's Red Sox beat writer Didier Morais took to Twitter to answer some of Red Sox Nation's most pressing concerns.
The most popular topic was that of the struggling Mark Melancon. The reliever's first season in Boston has been a disaster thus far, and Tuesday night's game against the Texas Rangers might have been the lowest of lows for Melancon.
Failing to record an out, Melancon gave up six runs on four hits, including three home runs to Josh Hamilton, Adrian Beltre and Nelson Cruz. Tuesday's tough outing brings Melancon's season line to 0-1 with one blown save and a whopping 49.50 ERA.
Other topics included whether the Red Sox should name a captain for the 2012 season, the relationship between Bobby Valentine and Kevin Youkilis, and if Josh Beckett could help the Sox get a win against the Rangers on Wednesday night.
