BOSTON — Mickael Pietrus was in good spirits about an hour before tip-off on Wednesday, predicting he would be back "soon."
"Soon" turned out to be very, very soon.
Pietrus was activated for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said prior to the game. That bit of good news for the Celtics on the injury front was tempered by the news that Ray Allen's sore right ankle had flared up again and would keep the guard out of Wednesday's game.
Pietrus said he passed all the tests required by the NBA as a result of the concussion he sustained two weeks ago in Philadelphia.
"Hopefully, I can get my smile back, and get my game back," Pietrus said. "And then everybody's happy."
