Red Sox Fans Should Arrive Early, Take Public Trasportation to Fenway Park Due to Walk for Hunger on May 6

Plenty of roads and parking spots will be blocked off due to the Walk for Hunger on Sunday, May 6. Red Sox fans should be sure to arrive early to Fenway Park, or better yet, just take any sort of public transportation to the ballpark.

The walk starts at 6 a.m. on Charles Street at the Boston Common and the last walkers will arrive back at the Commons around 8 p.m.

Charles Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6-11 a.m. and there will be message boards to let drivers know about detours on Massachusetts Avenue and Arlington Street.

Commonwealth Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. until about noon. There will also be signs advising drivers to detour right onto Storrow Drive.

Beacon Street, which is between Kenmore Square and Cleveland Circle, will also be closed to vehicles early Sunday morning.

Other restrictions for stopping vehicles temporarily will also be issued throughout the day, so please take note on your way to Boston of all the places below.
