Eight People Shot, Pregnant Woman Assaulted Outside Arena After Oklahoma City Thunder Win (Video)

Celebration can quickly turn into chaos when enough people are gathered together. Sometimes all they need is a spark. That spark occured outside Chesapeake Energy Arena in a popular area of Oklahoma City known as "bricktown," when the Thunder beat the Lakers Monday night.

Eight people were shot down by gunfire about a half mile away from the Arena following the end of the basketball game, according to police. The Oklahoman reported a pregnant woman was also assaulted in the commotion that followed.

The pregnant woman and seven of the gunshot victims are in "good" condition, with one of the gunshot victims in "critical" condition.

The confrontation began between a group of men and a group of women on the 200 block of E. Reno Avenue.

The Associated Press reported that two people had been arrested for the shootings early Tuesday morning, although the identities of the people have not yet been released.

The Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 106-90 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. They await a series with the San Antonio Spurs for a chance to play for the NBA Championship.
