Fab Melo made all the difference for Syracuse when he was on the floor, and his absence in the NCAA Tournament due to academic ineligibility robbed the Orange of their defensive presence inside. As a result, most casual basketball fans never got a chance to see what the 7-foot center from Brazil could really do.
