Novak Djokovic Gets Upset With Himself During French Open Final, Destroys Bench (Photos, Video)

The men’s French Open final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal is now suspended until Monday morning because of rain, halted in the fourth set with Nadal leading two sets to one.

Djokovic, however, had earlier made what could be considered a sprited attempt to halt the match himself when he angrily whacked his bench with his racquet, taking a large chunk out of it.

Finding himself down early in the match, the top-ranked player in the world was visibly frustrated. He even threw his racquet at one point. But the crowning moment, as it were, came when he wound up and delivered a vicious strike to the Perrier logo on the front of his bench, opening up a gash the size of the racquet’s head.

He then calmly sat down as if he hadn’t just attempted a forehand on a piece of wood, surrounded by the splintered pieces on the ground.
