Bryce Harper Selected to Replace Giancarlo Stanton on National League All-Star Roster

Why? Because Harper is headed to Kansas City. He wasn't originally selected to this year's All-Star Game at Kauffman Stadium, but that doesn't matter anymore.

Harper will replace Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton — who will have knee surgery either Sunday or Monday — on the National League roster, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

The 19-year-old Washington Nationals phenom becomes the youngest position player to play in the All-Star game. Harper is hitting .283 with eight homers and 25 RBIs this year.
