Carl Crawford was pulled in the seventh inning of Tuesday night's win in favor of getting Daniel Nava some reps in the field. But Crawford is back in the in Red Sox lineup on Wednesday night, and he's hitting in the seven spot once again.
While Crawford drops down to balance out the bottom of the Boston batting order, Pedro Ciriaco gets his second straight start at the DH and will be hitting in the No. 2 hole again. Ciriaco, Crawford and the Red Sox will be up against a tough test from Rangers starter Derek Holland (6-5, 4.84).
And as Boston looks to build a winning streak heading into their weekend series with the Yankees, starter Josh Beckett (5-8, 4.53) will have the fortune of not dealing with Red Sox killer Mike Napoli. The All-Star backstop will take a seat on Wednesday night and put his .500 average, four home runs and 10 RBIs against the Sox this season aside to give backup Yorvit Torrealba a chance behind the plate.
Adrian Beltre is back in the Texas lineup after being beaned in the back of the head by Vicente Padilla during the eighth inning on Tuesday. He will start at third base.
