David Ortiz the Only Red Sox Selected to Start All-Star Game as Josh Hamilton Sets Voting Record

David Ortiz has been enjoying a stellar season for the Red Sox, and All-Star voters took notice.

Ortiz was selected to his eighth All-Star team Saturday and will start at designated hitter for the American League. The Midsummer Classic is Tuesday, July 9, at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium.

None of Ortiz's Boston teammates were selected to the reserves, the pitching staff, or the final vote.

Josh Hamilton, who leads the majors in RBIs and ranks second in the majors in home runs, set an All-Star voting record with more than 11 million votes.

Check out the starters for both leagues below.
