Kevin Youkilis stepped to the plate at Fenway Park once again on Monday night, only this time he was doing it as a member of the opposing team.

In his first appearance back at Fenway since the June 24 trade that sent the three-time All-Star to Chicago, Youkilis was greeted with a resounding roar of approval and appreciation from the Fenway faithful. Red Sox fans gave Youk and extended round of applause and cheers as he approached the batter's box in the first inning, even forcing a slight delay in the action.

Youkilis was clearly moved by the moment, taking off his helmet to acknowledge the moment and spending some time letting the fans know how much he appreciated their praise. The White Sox third baseman left the emotion in that moment, though, as he went on to torment Red Sox fans with a single soon after the cheering stopped.

Check out the photo below to see Youkilis' reaction to the warm welcome.
