Vote: Do You Agree With NBA’s Decision to Put Ads on Team Jerseys?

After nearly three months of a lockout last year, the NBA and NBA Players Association finally came to an agreement on the primary matter involved in the dispute: money.

The deal went through without much of a hitch, and a 66-game schedule commenced. The Miami Heat ultimately came out on top, and the ratings for most games of the NBA Finals broke records that were nearly decades old.

On Thursday, the NBA Board of Governors made a motion to help the league make even more money off of its star athletes. The league owners agreed to the idea of selling advertisements to place on the plain and pristine jerseys of each NBA team.

The move isn't the first of its kind by any stretch of the imagination — many European leagues, including elite soccer teams, partake in the tradition — but it is unusual. The decision was met with some fanfare, both positive and negative, and there will surely be some controversy surrounding the move in coming months.

But with so many leagues already utilizing such a strategy, do you like the NBA's decision?

What do you think of the NBA’s idea to put ads on uniforms?
