World Series Homefield Advantage Should Be Based on Interleague Records, Not All-Star Game Winner

This time it still counts. But maybe it shouldn't.

The American League and the National League will meet on Tuesday night in this year's All-Star Game, and while it may not look like there's much on the line, there actually is. That's because homefield advantage in the World Series continues to be decided by who wins the All-Star Game.

This also continues to leave plenty of baseball fans scratching their heads, wondering why something so seemingly important can be determined by a glorified exhibition game.
