Xavier Silas enjoyed a strong Orlando Summer League, possibly earning himself a spot in the Philadelphia 76ers’ training camp this fall. The Northern Illinois product experienced a frightening moment Friday, though, when he was inadvertently hit in the head on a drive to the hoop.

The Sixers initially feared a skull fracture, according to Yahoo! Sports, but Silas apparently got away with “only” a concussion.

Silas, 24, averaged 7.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in five games in the summer league, which came to an end Friday. He spent last season with the Maine Red Claws in the D-League, where he scored 9.8 points per game in 39 games, with 22 starts.
