Red Sox Must Slow Mark Reynolds in Attempt to Salvage Series Finale With Orioles

Mark Reynolds always welcomes a visit from the Red Sox.

The Orioles infielder, who always seems to hit Boston pitching well, has done just that in this current three-game series. Baltimore will look for the sweep on Thursday night, and they'll call on Reynolds to keep up his hot hitting.

He burned the Red Sox on Tuesday night with a three-run home run off of Mark Melancon, and was at it again on Wednesday night with a two-run double in the game-changing fifth inning.

Reynolds is now hitting .360 (9-for-25) with three home runs and nine RBIs in his last seven games.

Dustin Pedroia remains hot for the Red Sox, as he takes his 10-game hitting streak into the series finale. The Boston second baseman is hitting .447 (17-for-38) over that stretch.
