Sixth Annual Beckett Bowl Features Celebrities, Concert, Silent Auction to Raise Money for Children in Need

We're betting Josh Beckett can get some decent velocity on a bowling ball too.

The Red Sox starter will be using his right arm to toss a different kind of ball on Monday, August 20, as Beckett trades in baseballs for bowling balls as part of the sixth annual Beckett Bowl charity event. In addition to a celebrity bowling tournament, the evening will also feature silent auctions and the Beckett Bowl 10 Man Jam, presented by WKLB at the House of Blues Boston.

For a $250 ticket, you can attend as a spectator and help raise money for Boston Children's Hospital, and enjoy some complimentary food and beverages while you're at it. The main event promises to feature a host of Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Revolution players of the present day and the past, in addition to a litany of other celebrities.

Then, the after party moves to the House of Blues, and features a concert of country musicians Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers, Stoney LaRue and others — all presented by the Josh Beckett Foundation.
