Tom Brady Calls New Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III ‘Incredible’ After NFL Debut

Robert Griffin III
started his NFL career in fine style on Sunday.

Griffin carved up the vaunted Saints defense for 320 yards through the air on 19-of-26 passing, including a brilliant 88-yard touchdown pass on his second drive of the game. He also rushed for 42 yards as Washington won 40-32.

NFL analysts and players were heaping praise on the rookie passer after the game, but perhaps no one had more succinct yet glowing praise as Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

"He's incredible," Brady told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports.

Brady had a pretty decent day himself Sunday, completing 23 of 31 passes for 236 yards and two scores. He even had a nice scamper where he showed off his water buffalo legs in getting away from the defense — a far cry from the versatile Griffin, who has some of the best speed and evasive maneuvers for a quarterback in the league.
