Tom Brady made another little bit of NFL history on Sunday afternoon, as he passed another legend in the league’s record book.
The Patriots quarterback threw two touchdown passes in New England’s 34-13 win, giving him 302 for his storied career. That number puts him ahead of another quarterbacking legend, John Elway, on the all-time passing touchdowns list.
How does Brady feel about that? Well, frankly, he doesn’t really give a hoot.
“No. I wanna win,” he told WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan Morning Show on Monday morning when asked whether the milestone had any significance to him.
“That’s what I care about. I don’t care if we run it, throw it — if we ran for 50 touchdowns in a year, that would make me happier than anything. I’m just trying to win. I love winnin’. There’s nothing like waking up on Monday morning talking to guys — winnin’. Going to bed last night — winnin’. The flight home — winnnin’.
“It’s just, that’s what it’s about. That’s why we play. Stats, yards, ratings — that’s a bunch of BS. At the end of the day, the thing that matters most is winnin’.”
