Houston Astros’ New Logo Accidentally Leaked By Major League Baseball (Photo)

Earlier this month, a number of sources noted that an image on the Houston Astros' official website could be adjusted to reveal a (somewhat blurry) clue as to what the team's new logo and uniforms would look like. The team had already announced the new look — in conjunction with the team moving to the American League — would harken back to the 1960s.

Retro is all the rage nowadays.

The Astros are planning to formally release the logo and uniforms on Friday, but over the weekend a double-edged leak occurred, and the secret is out. Both a local Houston sporting goods store (in brick and mortor) and Major League Baseball (online) accidentally unveiled the new duds. In fact, Major League Baseball has already issued a formal apology to the Astros, while Academy sporting goods has long since removed items bearing the new logo from its storefront — the store's mistake was initially noticed by a Twitter user named Ernest Moreno.

But, since the images are already splashed across the internet, check out the Astros' new (old) look in the image below.
