Jim Nantz Thought Jets Beat Patriots Following Overtime Challenged Fumble Stood (Video)

Jim Nantz
had a "senior moment" in the booth in the waning moments of the Patriots win over the Jets.

CBS's lead play-by-play man was convinced that the Jets had beat the Patriots on Sunday night after Rob Ninkovich strip sacked Mark Sanchez to clinch the game for New England.

The usually flawless Nantz declared that it was a "stunner" and that the winner was the "biggest underdog of the day in the league," referring to the Jets.

Even after NFL official Jeff Triplette announced that the ruling on the field stood, and that the Patriots had recovered the ball, Nantz said, "The New York Jets stand alone in first place now," before correcting himself.

It's good that Nantz doesn't decide the result of NFL games, because Patriots fans would be very upset right now.
