The only thing that can stop him? His bed, apparently.
According to the Star Tribune, Love went to bed on Friday night with his right arm extended, and by the time he woke up in the morning was barely capable of lifting a basketball.
"I couldn't shoot it 10 feet," Love is quoted as saying.
Don't go blaming his bed, however. Unlike his former teammate, Al Jefferson, who recently ordered a massive 12 by 10-foot bed (which included a $23k shipping bill) Love says his bed is plenty big enough for the 6-foot-10 power forward.
"My bed's big enough," said Love. "Just a fluke thing. I'm pretty sure it's just a 24-hour deal."
Ironically, the game that Love missed — a 82-75 victory over the Chicago Bulls — marked the home debut of Brandon Roy. Roy, who basically has no cartilage in either of his knees, is suffering from an incredibly serious injury which has already forced him into retirement once, and by all rights probably shouldn't be able to play professional basketball.
