Call this a teachable moment, or something.
LeBron James is not a widely liked dude among non-bandwagon-hopping fans, so it is possible that very few of the fans in Raleigh, N.C., were disappointed when James was whistled for a technical foul in the second quarter of Tuesday's preseason game. After James drove the lane and drew a defensive foul on Gerald Henderson, referee Marat Kogut flew in from out of nowhere and gesticulated a technical on the Miami forward.
As you can see in the video below, James deserved the tech for doing … absolutely nothing.
OK, so maybe this is an improvement. Many fans insist that James gets undeserved favorable treatment from the officials. In this case, he appeared to get undeserved unfavorable treament. So maybe it all evens out.
