Mike Aviles is a part of the deal that has John Farrell becoming the next Red Sox manager, and the former Sox shortstop seems excited to be headed north of the border.
Aviles is going to the Blue Jays as compensation for Farrell, according to the team, and he took some time Sunday to thank everyone for his time in Boston.
Wanna thank #RedSoxNation for all the support, great city, team and fans! Loved my time there but now it's time for a new chapter! #gojays
