Robert Griffin III Diagnosed With Mild Concussion in Loss to Falcons, Coach Mike Shanahan Says

One of the NFL’s most explosive quarterbacks may have to sit out a couple of weeks.

In the Redskins’ 24-17 loss to the Falcons, 2012 No. 2 pick Robert Griffin III was walloped on a hit in the third quarter that sent him to the sidelines for the rest of the game.

Now, it looks like him taking some plays off was a smart decision.

Washington head coach Mike Shanahan announced after the game that Griffin had a mild concussion, according to ESPN.

Fellow rookie QB Kirk Cousins stepped in for RG3 follwing the hit and nearly led a Redskins comeback. With Washington taking on the Vikings next week, fantasy owners and fans alike will be looking to the injury report to see whether or not one of the NFL’s most exciting players is able to return next Sunday.
