Relive Game 5 of the Bruins’ 2011 Eastern Conference Finals Against the Lightning Thursday on NESN

The Catch. The Drive. The Save?

Tim Thomas made the play of his life in Game 5 of the 2011 Eastern Conference finals, denying Steve Downie‘s shot on an open net with a sprawling, acrobatic lunging save. By poking away Downie’s point-blank shot with his stick, Thomas ensured himself a place in hockey lore and hinted at the rest of the magic that the Bruins had in store for their fans that postseason.

Tune in to NESN at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday to relive all the action from the game, and join the conversation on social media by using the #Bruins2011 hashtag during the broadcast. Also, keep an eye out for more upcoming NESN broadcasts of games from the Bruins’ historic Stanley Cup run.
