Rick Reilly Caught Asking Stuart Scott to Cite Twitter on Ben Roethlisberger Injury (Video)

Rick Reilly has a Twitter account. And he got the story on Ben Roethlisberger‘s shoulder injury first — or so he thought.

During ESPN’s Monday Night Football postgame coverage, Reilly apparently didn’t know that a camera was live when has asked anchor Stuart Scott to cite the fact that Reilly had the story about Ben Roethlisberger’s shoulder injury on Twitter first. Nonetheless, Scott complied, but meanwhile Steve Young gave Reilly something akin to the Kobe Bryant death stare, going so far as to tap him on the side live on air.

In fact, Reilly’s ESPN colleague Adam Schefter was the first to report that Roethlisberger had a sprained shoulder. And Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review was the first to report that the Steelers’ quarterback was headed to the hospital.
