Bosh said he’s already a lock to make the Hall of Fame, and has been for a while now.
“Hell, yeah, of course. I’ve been a Hall of Famer like four years ago,” Bosh told FOX Sports Florida. “And I say that very serious, though. I’ve talked about it before with my friends.”
Bosh has averaged 19.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in his nine-year career with the Raptors and Heat. He has one championship under his belt and was just named to his eighth All-Star Game.
The only NBA player to make eight or more NBA All-Star Game appearances and not make the Hall of Fame is Larry Foust. Foust played from 1950-1962 with the Pistons, Lakers and Hawks. He averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Bosh’s status as the third banana in Miami may decrease his reputation, but he led the Raptors to the playoffs twice in 2007 and 2008 as Toronto’s best player. At 29, Bosh still has plenty more chances to add to his resume with more All-Star appearances and championships.
