Jeff Green Tweets Photo of Himself in Hospital Bed on One-Year Anniversary of Heart Surgery (Photo)

During Jeff Green‘s up-and-down season with the Celtics, some of the forward’s biggest detractors apparently have forgotten that just over a year ago, he was diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm and had to undergo heart surgery at just 25 years old.

Wednesday marked the one-year anniversary of Green’s surgery. He has been open about the scary, life-changing experience, and has served as inspiration for many others enduring heart ailments at a too-young age. As a sign of thanks to all his supporters, Green tweeted a photo of himself in a hospital bed last January.

Exactly one year later, Green said he feels no ill effects, and he is back on his way to being a productive NBA player again.
