Donte Stallworth Will Be Able to Resume Playing Career After Suffering Severe Burns in Hot-Air Balloon Crash

Former Patriots wide receiver Donte Stallworth is in the hospital after a hot-air balloon carrying he and his girlfriend hit power lines.

Stallworth suffered severe burns and is in stable condition at the Trauma Center at Kendall Regional Hospital, according to the Miami Herald. He will be able to resume his football career, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. Stallworth’s lawyer would not comment on Stallworth’s girlfriend’s injuries.

Stallworth played one game for the Patriots in 2012. He caught one pass for a 63-yard touchdown.
